Blood test results can take anywhere from a few hours to a week to be returned. We do not routinely contact patients with blood test results. It is a patients responsibility to check if a result has been returned. We will send text messages to book appointments to discuss results if a doctor wishes to see a patient routinely.
We will never send a text message if the result is serious or anything to worry about, GP's will contact patients directly in this instance.
The surgery is able to give results for radiological scans (X-rays, Ultrasound scans, CT scans etc.) that we have requested. We do not receive images from the radiology department, we are sent a written report by the radiographer. If you want a copy of the image you need to contact the radiology team directly.
We are not able to report on tests from other healthcare providers. You must speak to the clinic that requested these results.
If you require a copy of your test results please email us on Enquiries.W97034@wales.NHS.uk please include your name and date of birth when doing so. We may have to seek a GP's permission before releasing any information.
